Evaluation Question 3

Here is my evaluation question 3; What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

The Media Institution I have chosen to use to distribute my magazine is IPC Media. This is because the music magazine that they currently publish is NME which is a weekly magazine, therefore it will not be in competition with my magazine. I have also chosen this Institution because bauermedia currently publishes Kerrang! magazine which is of similar genre to my magazine and is weekly, therefore they will not be in competition with each other either.

Evaluation Question 4

Here is my evaluation question four; Who would be the audience for your media product?

Here are examples of my target audience;

Sam Rutter

Age: 17
Hobbies: Skateboarding, hanging out with friends, listening to music and watching films
Favourite Music Genre: Pop rock/ Rock
Favourite Music Magazine: Kerrang!

Tom Povall

Age: 17
Hobbies: Hanging out with friends, playing guitar and listening to music
Favourite Music Genre: Pop rock/ Rock
Favourite Music Magazine: Kerrang!

__________________________________________________________________________________

I have included these two videos because they are both examples of the type of music that would be featured in my magazine and the type of music that my target audience would listen to. Paramore and Guns 'n' Roses both fall under the rock genre which is the same genre as my magazine.

Evaluation Question 5

Here is my evaluation question 5; How did you attract/address your audience?

Evaluation Question 6

Here is my evaluation question 6; What have you learnt from technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt many new skills whilst working on my production such as how to use a Dictaphone more effectively and also I have learnt how to use Windows movie maker which I had never used before. Windows movie maker makes your videos look professional but they are very easy to make and upload to wherever you wish. I also learnt to use Quark which is a very useful piece of software that many of the professional magazine companies use to make their magazines.
Without the technology I had access to, my production would not have been to the standard and quality that it is.

Creating my Front Cover

Firstly, I created a gradient background using the gradient tool.

I then inserted my main image and used the magnetic lasso tool to cut it out. This made it a lot easier and neater.

Then I used the rubber tool to make it even neater and to make it look more professional.
Then I used the horizontal type tool to create my heading of TRM.

I then used bevel and emboss and the stroke tool to create the red outline as this would make the heading more eye-catching.

Next I added a red rectangle at the bottom of my front cover to add another dimension to the product.

Then I added text on top of the bar to make the final product look fuller and also, they were names of well-known and popular artists to entice the reader and make it more appealing.

I next added a postioning statement of The Rock Magazine which is what TRM stands for.

Next I added all of my Coverlines and sublines. These are used to entice the reader and draw them in to the magazine.

Next I added my barcode, price, website and date of the magazine, these are there just as general information the reader may want or need.

I then added my main coverline. This was bold and underneath my main image.

I then added a competition to entice the readers.
